Dreams Tulum is one of my favorite wedding locations, I have photographed there several times but it is so amazing to see how even in a familiar location no two weddings are ever the same! Kim and I share something in common (unfortunately for me it is not being a young dark haired beauty, Kim has that one covered!) We do share our love of photography though, so it was extra fun to collaborate with Kim and Matt creating images of their beautiful wedding and the trash the dress session the next day. I wish I could post the whole wedding to the blog but here is a sample….Thank you Kim and Matt, I loved spending my B-Day with such a great group!
Pre ceremony photos, Kim and Matt chose not to see each other before the ceremony.
The ceremony, I loved this image of Kim entering the ceremony on her father’s arm.

Unfortunately I seem to have run out of superlatives somewhere during my last post, if anyone has a few to donate I appreciate it, I will be needing them over the next few weeks as the blog explodes with amazing weddings! I guess for now I will have to let the photographs do the talking for Nicole and Ben’s fantastic Riviera Maya destination wedding at Azul Beach near Puerto Morelos. The wedding was coordinated by Luxe Destination Weddings and featured a very stylish and fun bride and groom, basically it could not have been more beautiful!
I know this could not be the view every bride dreams of seeing out her window a few hours before the ceremony! Fortunately if was a false alarm and it stopped sprinkling just in time for Nicole and Ben’s “first look” and bride and groom photos on the beach.
A few getting ready details…
The first look…
The Catholic ceremony was held at the Marina Maroma Chapel, what a nice location!
Gotta love those signature drinks! And in my favorite color!
The reception was held back at Azul Beach, perfect!

I feel a little silly going on and on in every blog post about my wonderful wedding photography clients…maybe it is just something about destination weddings in Mexico that brings out the best in people! I can’t help but feel fortunate to photograph people as lovely and as excited about photography as Sarah and Trevor! The wedding was held at the Royal in Playa del Carmen, this is such a super popular wedding destination, and for good reason. The gazebo is a perfect location for those who want to get married overlooking the ocean but not actually right on the beach. Sarah and Trevor used the different areas of the hotel…gazebo ceremony, garden cocktail hour and banquet hall reception. We were even able to go offsite before the reception to photograph in another location that the bride and groom had scouted. Thank you so much Sarah and Trevor, we loved being a part of your big day!
The bride getting ready, so beautiful!
The groom during the “getting ready” time, I liked his tropical tie, it had little pink pineapples!
I few photographs from the wedding ceremony. Here Sarah enters the gazebo with both parents.

Group photo in the gazebo at the Royal in PDC.
Trevor and Sarah didn’t want to do their portraits in a crowded location and were able to find this location in Playacar that worked great for the photo session.

What a joyful day! I actually tried my best not to photograph this wedding! Believing I could not guarantee to be back from Kate and Bill’s Puerto Vallarta wedding in time I told Robin I was unavailable and recommended a couple of very talented fellow photographers. Fortunately for me Robin was firm in her decision and not a person who lets logistics stand in the way. When she did some legwork and started finding ways to make it possible I turned out to be putty in her hands! I was almost afraid to see what she could convince me to do on the day of the wedding! Of course she and Heath are as nice a couple as I could ever imagine working with and the wedding was both a warm and happy tradition filled celebration and a feast for the eye. Thank you Robin and Heath for not taking no for an answer! I loved photographing the wedding!
Girls and guys before the wedding…

The ceremony site was just beautiful and meaningful as well.
I loved this one!
Lauren captured the next image, nice!
