Wow, its been a post holiday editing marathon around these parts!  I am very happy to be able to take a few minutes out and share a few photographs from Stacy and Patrick’s JW Marriott wedding.If you’ve been reading the Elizabeth Medina Photography blog for a while you probably know that we love Cancun weddings (amazing turquoise water and white sand, enough said!) and that the JW Marriott is one of our favorite Cancun wedding venues.  Stacy and Patrick are obviously made for each other- I can’t help loving how the camera was able to pick up on their excitement and happiness together! I even found myself smiling back at the two of them on my screen as I selected these photographs for the blog! Stacy and Patrick, thank you so much for your kindness and enthusiasm and for letting Lindsey and I share in your very special day!

I pretty much have to love everything about Molly and Josh and their wedding at Le Blanc Resort in Cancun, Mexico. Molly was fearless in her color selections and I loved how the rainbow of color surprises that kept popping up in all of her wedding details all worked together and complemented the natural turquoise setting. There was even a rainbow in the sky before the ceremony!

It was a day for crazy weather, we felt so fortunate to be able to capture photographs on the beach! Huge kudos to the wedding staff at Le Blanc who made it possible for the couple to have their dreamed of rooftop after the wind and rain passed by!

This was an all around a beautiful destination wedding at the Royal Resort in Playa del Carmen! I hope this small sample of the day’s photographs gives a little glimpse into the day that Roza and Gerard spent with family and friends who traveled to celebrate their marriage in the Royal’s beautiful gazebo overlooking the ocean in Playa del Carmen. (some from all the way around the world!). Roza and Gerard we are so happy for the two of you and thank you for letting us share in your day!

The bride and wedding party (bridesmaids and groom’s ladies!) made a very dramatic and beautiful entrance to the ceremony.

Mexico… what can I say I am a little biased since this is my home. But there are no two ways about it…  I am firmly convinced that there can be no more perfect place to be married! Kim and Thomas’  wedding at the Royal Resort in Playa del Carmen is a case in point. The couple shared a very intimate and relaxed  gazebo ceremony with a very happy and spirited group of family and friends, followed by an exhilarating toes in the sand beach side fiesta. In  between we somehow managed to steal time for images of the couple enjoying each other and the moment. Kim and Thomas, we had such a wonderful time with the two of you. We hope the photographs bring back some great memories!

The first photographs are from the morning after the wedding when Lauren and I met up with Kim and Thomas for a brief “morning after” shoot.

Shana and Jeff, what can I say? Sometimes you meet a couple who seem so perfect for each other it just seems to prove that destiny is hard at work! Or as they say in Spanish that each person has a “media naranja” or “half orange” waiting to be found! In other words a dream team, two of a kind or “tal para cual”…know what I mean? It was an honor to be able to capture a bit of the magic of the day these two were married in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.

Jeff is an amazing graphic designer and the couple was able to put a personal creative touch into many of the wedding details like the very unique invitation which featured their story and the favorite flower of both, the daisy.

The beautiful bride before the ceremony. I love doing bridal portraits prior to the ceremony whenever there is time, and the photographs are always some of my favorites. I think there are probably about 5 women in the universe that could pull of a dress like this one, it looked absolutely perfect on Shana!
